How to Save Money On Your Next Vacation

Most people have visions of amazing vacations. However, this is usually not the case, especially when they see the price tag that goes along with their dream. But don't despair, you can still have your dream vacation, if you're willing to do a little work.

Here are 5 ways to save money on your next vacation, so you have the trip you want:

1. Travel When Airfare is Lowest

If you have a home business, don't miss out on the home office tax credit. You can claim this space even if you don't devote an entire room to your business. If you have an area which is only or primarily used for business purposes, you can claim it based on square footage, and calculate the portion of your home that is taken up by your office space.

Airfare is often at it's lowest on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You'll also find that the prices are lower early in the morning or late at night. These are the best times to book for your air travel.

When it comes to hotel, the weekends are usually the highest priced days. If you only have a few days to get away, it's cheaper if you travel between Sunday and Thursday.

2. Combine Your Travel Services For A Discount

A key tip for those planning to launch a home business is to carefully research any and all legal and insurance requirements that may apply to the specific type of enterprise being contemplated. By doing so, it will be possible to avoid unnecessary future business disruptions resulting from disputes with regulatory authorities.

Most travel booking services offer a discount if you purchase all of your travel services at the same time. Check to see if you can get a reasonable discount by booking your air travel, hotel and car rental from the same service.

Sometimes you may be better only combining some services and getting the others on your own. You should also look at deals offered by your credit card company and any rewards programs you belong to. They also may have combination deals available.

3. Travel During The Off Season

Come up with a business plan. When you have a plan and write it down, you not only feel more organized but also it helps your mind to come up with great ideas. Before you know it, you'll be coming up with all sorts of imaginative ways to develop your business, that you would never have thought of, if you hadn't put your plan on paper.

Most tourist spots have their peak seasons. During those times prices are usually much higher. However many times the weeks before and after this time can offer you a significant savings while still allowing you to experience the location.

Remember, it's harder to find the off season for many locations in the summer or around the holidays. If you can, try to schedule your vacation during the fall, spring or winter.

4. Start Planning As Soon As Possible

Unless you live alone, be considerate of the others in your household. Don't let your work take over common spaces or invade someone else's personal area. Don't treat your roommates or family like employees. Make your needs known, but remember that this space is a home first and an office second.

If you have a specific vacation location you want to go to start planning now. Get information from the tourist board for the area and subscribe to receive offers from local hotels and venues.

Many times the tourism board may offer specials that are not readily known to the public. This may give you the chance to get a great room rate in a local hotel or locate a special deal for a local attraction.

5. Join Rewards Programs

Pay estimated taxes. For a home business owner, it is preferable to pay your taxes four times a year. Unless you want a shock when it's tax time, contact the IRS and set up a payment process. Not only are you responsible for regular tax, you will have to pay self-employment tax.

There are hundreds of rewards programs available. The great thing about travel rewards is that you don't have to travel to earn them. You can get reward points for the purchases you make every day.

While some programs are operated by credit card companies, some are separate from the cards. These programs allow you to enroll the cards you use and earn points by purchasing from specific stores and businesses.

When You Find A Good Deal, Book It

Involve your family as a team and play for home business success. Your extroverted spouse might be eager to do cold calls and handle clients. Your daughter may be great for articles and ad copy, while your son could create cool logos, web sites and brochures. Above all, they must have fun.

Consider joining a Vacation Club that actually pays you money and provides 5-Star Vacations for 2-Star Prices such as "WorldVentures".

Don't hesitate when you find the right deal. The price you see on your screen won't be there forever. Many people have lost out by waiting a hour or two to book their travel package.

Remember you're not the only person looking for a deal. By taking the time to look at all your options, you can find a good deal, you just have to make sure you grab it as soon as you can.

Blogging and Marketing Fun!

Blogging can be a lot of fun but you do need to know how to approach it in the proper manner if you would like to make some money from it. Now I'm not trying to say that you should try to be a professional blogger and make a full-time income this way. Although that is something that you could aspire to. Rather I am trying to say that you could simply work in such a way that it creates the best opportunity possible for you to generate a little bit of an income from your blog.

Really it all starts in making sure that you are blogging about a topic that actually has people willing to spend money. People were willing to spend money will be likely to click on affiliate links that you place with in your blog and possibly click on the advertisements that are within your blog posts. Of course this only works once again you have chosen a niche full of hungry buyers and people seeking out more information.

Additionally it will only work if the structure your blog in such a way as to encourage people to actually do things that will generate new income. This means that the first thing you must do is make sure that your blog is structured in such a way that is not too confusing to the reader's. There is nothing worse than a confusing blog. It turns people off and makes them click away and look for a different source for the same information.

Obviously this is something that would be terrible for you if you are attempting to actually build your blog into a business. Always think of usability first and style second. Readers often forgive a blog lacking style if the information is really good, but they will not do the inverse of that. Readers will not forgive a blog lacking content and that is confusing in favor of one that is full of style.

This is a balance that you will have to learn to strike if you want to have the greatest chance at having success. Make if Challenging for quicker Success.

Do You Want To Be A Travel Writer?

Traveling has long been one of my favorite pastimes. I, like many people, have always dreamed of being a travel writer. I think when you watch people like Anthony Bordain or Andrew Zimmern it is very easy to get bit by the travel bug and want to do what they do. Of course actually becoming a successful travel writer is not something that is easy and in fact the majority of professional travel writers really do not make that much money.

However they frequently make enough money to at least pay for the travels. This is something that I have found intriguing for a long time and it is something that I think most people can accomplish if they really put their mind to it.

The goal of a travel writer in general is not to write large books and try to sell them to the public via a mass distributor. Frankly speaking that is not realistic. There are simply too many variables that go into creating a best-selling book. Rather what most writers try to do is craft compelling articles that they can sell to tourism agencies, travel focused magazines, relevant businesses, and travel related websites.

Be respectful and patient towards security checkpoints and customs officials. In most cases, these exist for your safety. If not, being upset still won't help you get through any faster. In fact, making a fuss at the security checkpoint is almost always a ticket to the express lane for the extra search.

A well-written travel article could be sold to a magazine like Travel And Leisure for $200 or more depending on how well it is written, whether it has relevant pictures, and things of that nature. Frequently good travel articles will be able to be sold fairly quickly to relevant websites for $25 or more. If you have ever sold a travel article then you begin to expand your horizons. This is where the perks of being a travel writer stuck again and where it gets really interesting.

A person who begins to actually sell travel articles, whether they do so to large publications or smaller venues, will begin to build credibility in the marketplace. You can then leverage this credibility to influence tourism agencies to fund your travels to their part of the world. For example I recently read a person who contacted the tourism agency of Malaysia and convince the agency to fly them out to Malaysia, pay for the hotel room, meals, and even their entertainment while they're in the country. The reason they could do this is because they were able to sales articles beforehand which gave the tourism agency the idea that they were a serious travel reporter.

Now it is not necessarily that easy to sell a travel article. There is a steep learning curve associated with how to craft a good travel article.

If you have a choice when booking flights for travel, select an airline that uses primarily 767 jets. These larger jets have more legroom, and offer more direct flights because they can stay in the air longer. Also, the 767s have a two-three-two seat configuration, meaning there is only one middle seat per row instead of the usual two.  Better yet, use WorldVentures and Rovia to Book Your Trip.  They always offer the lowest deal because of their incredible Shrinking Offer.

If this is something that really appeals to you and you think you might want to give it a try I would recommend getting a subscription to a travel magazine such as Travel and Leisure and actually read the articles. As you read these articles no down, make copies of, or actually cut out the articles that really resonate with you. You can then use these articles as a outline of how you should craft your articles.

By now, you should know that a Blog is the easiest way to start writing articles and to get them noticed.  Consider this particular one.  Use the Empower Network Platform to increase your Visibility and Credibility in the Article/Blog Arena.

SEO Tips that Continue to Rank

SEO Tips that Continue to Rank

Search Engine Optimization or SEO is the art or science of obtaining top spots in search engines for keywords that are relevant for the particular page we aim to continue to Rank.

As no search engine would disclose exactly how their ranking algorithms work, SEO can't promise certain positions in SERPs, therefore a specialist that claims to know the secret of becoming number one, is probably only a fraud and should be tackled with great care.

Do not run afoul of the spam filters modern search engines use when you optimize your website. These filters - actually complex decision-making algorithms, analyze website content and flag pages for omission when they appear to be light on real content. To avoid this sinister fate you should limit the amount of search engine optimization tweaking you employ.

There are guidelines published by search engines for web developers and webmasters, guidelines which may contribute to your website's pages send good relevancy signals to search engine robots, thus determining them to include them in their top ranked results for those particular keywords.

One of the factors that influence SEO is the number of links a page has from other relevant and authoritative pages within the same niche. If several very high authority sites in a particular niche quote and link to a certain page, search engines will identify that page as being also a resource worth to be mentioned in relationship with a certain topic, thus promoting it in the list of results for searches related to that topic.

Consider Rank & Stick  SEO methods.

Another factor that will send signals of relevancy to search engines is the presence of the keyword or keyphrase in the text of the page itself. This should be approached with great care by SEO specialists, because over optimization may attract penalties, therefore instead of ranking high, the page won't be found anywhere close to the top for the particular keyword it has been over optimized for. Experience has shown that the title of the page is the most important place where the keyword should appear. Some SEO professionals say it's best the title starts with the keyword, but others say it's best that the title just makes good sense for humans.

Avoid using AJAX for your most critical content. Search engines only "see" what is in the site's code. If an AJAX call retrieves something from the server, then it will be completely invisible to search engines. If you must use AJAX, one alternative is to create a no-frills, AJAX-free version of the site that search engines can index.

TIP! Mark important keywords by bolding, italicizing or underlining them. Google looks for these markings and determines that those words are keywords for your content.

Another influence factor is the presence in social media of a certain page. Social media used to be ignored by search engines until the latest years, when Facebook and Twitter became so big, that it didn't make sense to ignore such signals anymore. It's logical to think that if a page has millions of likes, shares or twitter mentions, it has to be something good about it. Search engines followed this trend, so today no respectable SEO professional can afford to leave social media out of their SEO plans.

These are all things to reflect on when developing an SEO plan for your website. If looking for Automatic SEO Techniques to increase searchability for your Blog, then consider the Internet Traffic Formula.

The Google Authorship markup is also believed to influence SEO, not directly perhaps, but because people are more inclined to click on photos, therefore showing the author's photo next to the page description will lead to an increased click rate. It is also possible that in the future, this signal to be used in the ranking algorithm as well. For example, Matt Cutts stated that if an authority in a field posts something on a low authority website, that page deserves to be seen by as many people as possible, regardless the reputation of the site itself.
